Sabinoso is in the Canadian (Red River) which flows into Conchas Lake.  This territory belonged to the parish of Chaperito until 1932.  Sabinoso is 35 miles from Mosquero, southwest below the mesa.

The church at Sabinoso is built of adobe, has been replastered by the people recently and has had its roof repainted.  The church is dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
