Jeffrey
P. Lane
(May 11, 1950- August 15,
2007)
The Harding County
Fair was one of the real highlights of the year for Jeff because it
combines the things that he valued most:
family and friends working
together to support each other and each others children, plus animals
and working outside.
Jeff loved the idea of everyone in such a
small community coming together to put on a big production with so much
energy-- regardless of the weather, market conditions or how much work
they might have at home.
At different times throughout the years he
helped with the Fair Board, the rodeo, the horse show, the parade and
the livestock show and sale. Jeff Lane was honored last year as a
23-year buyer at the Harding County Livestock Sale.
Jeff is truly missed
by every resident in Harding County because he showed compassion,
kindness and respect to others not because of who they were but because
of who he was.
The things that Jeff
contributed to Harding County most people will never know since he never
made a big production out of it.
People that really worked
with him and knew him well say “Thanks!”
Jeff you will always be in
our hearts.
