4-H & FFA Building Exhibits

1. See State Fair Junior Department book, Supplement and General rules.
2. All exhibits in this department must be entered between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Thursday.
3. Exhibits must be claimed Saturday between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.
4. Exhibitors must be enrolled in the project in which they are exhibiting.
5. Exhibits must be the current year’s work.
5. Complete projects are required to be eligible for an award. Any exhibit lacking items listed in the project will not be judged.
6. Project records must be up-to-date by deadline or exhibit will NOT be accepted.
7. Exhibitor is responsible for seeing that each exhibit is properly tagged with their name & age.
8. Posters may be no larger than 14x22" (½ sheet)
9. Exhibits may be no larger than 18x48".

10.  Exhibit bases for 3 dimensional vertical displays may be no larger than 24x24 inches.
11.  Photo entries must be mounted on 3x10 backing without frames or glass; must have a caption. 
       Sets of photos should be mounted on 11x14 backing without frames or glass with a caption.
12. In case of no competition, an exhibit will receive a ribbon based on the quality of the exhibit.
13. Booster members may exhibit but will not compete against regular members.
14. Rosettes will be presented to Grand & Reserve Champion exhibits if merited.
15. First place articles in each section, for each age division (Novice, Junior and Senior), are eligible to go to the State Fair

     
(if a CLASS is offered at the State Fair).
16. A $50. savings bond will be awarded to the top Novice, Junior, and Senior 4-H or FFA exhibit winner.

     
Winner will be selected by adding the total points of all of the members exhibits. Points will be awarded as follows: 
     
First - 5 points, Second - 4 points, Third - 3 points, Fourth - 2 points, Fifth- 1 point.
17. Mesa Soil & Water Conservation will award a $50 savings bond to the 4-H or FFA Grand Champion project exhibit in

      
Range Management, Forestry, and Plant & Soil Sciences.
18. Age Divisions: (Age as of January 1)

        BOOSTER (AGES 5-8)
        NOVICE (AGES 9-11)
        JUNIOR (AGES 12-13)
        SENIOR (AGES 14-19)

BOOSTER CLASS AND CLOVERBUD PROJECTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR STATE FAIR EXHIBITS.
