The Contest will follow the fair parade at
approximately 10:30 am on the tennis court in
the Roy Village Park.
Chalk It Up
Art Contest
is sponsored by the
Harding County
DWI Program. All artwork completed
becomes property of
program
and may be used or
reproduced at the program’s discretion. Signing
this document acts as a release for the artwork
and to hold harmless, the Harding County DWI
Program, from any and all claims, damages,
losses, injuries, accidents resulting from or
arising out of participation in the contest
Contestants under the age of 18 must have the
entry form signed by parents/legal guardians.
Participants are provided with one sidewalk
section roughly 50 square inches.
Artwork will be done on art paper taped to the
court. Participants are given additional space
to sit in and place their supplies.
Chalk
is provided to participants in basic colors:
Any specialty colors needed must be provided by
the participant. Only chalk may be used for
artwork. Contestants may bring kneepads, water,
shade and sunscreen. Water may also be used or
erasing/correcting drawings.
Artwork
design
is up to the participant
but the theme is "Healthy Living”.
(political, profane,
vulgar or inappropriate art will be
disqualified)
Participants have from 10:30 am to 12:30 on
Saturday, August 7, 2010 to work on their art.
Judging begins at 12:45 and awards given out at
1:30.
Participant must be present to receive an award.
Three levels for judging:
Adult (21+), Teen (15-20), Youth (10-14)
&
Child (6-12)
Prizes will be awarded to the judges' top
choices in each level.
Judges scores are based
on:
theme, creativity,
originality, use of color, and judge's first
impressions. All judges' decisions are
final.
