August 6-7-8, 2009

Come one, come all!

It’s fair time again and the Harding County Fair Board would like to welcome everyone to an “enchanting” time out at the fair.

There’ll be plenty to see and hear.  This year’s theme, “Fairy Tales & Folklore”, has helped to create some “magical” booths in the Harding County Community Building. Oh, and don’t forget the amazing exhibits in there. Of course we will have a Queen and Princess Contest and Horse Show at the arena to enjoy.  Without doubt, other major highlights of the fair are the Livestock Shows and Livestock Sale.  The fun continues with a parade, the mouth-watering Feed cooked up by the Pinon Cowbelles and their Pie Auction, and the thrilling Little Wrangler Rodeo.  Don’t forget your dancin’ boots for the dance.  There’ll be a roping this year, a new event you won’t want to miss.

Harding County Kids have worked hard all year on their 4-H and FFA projects.  Plan on attending this year’s fair to show them your support.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped out: the other Fair Board members, our County Agent Blair, Mary Helen, the FFA advisors Lynn Ray and Valerie McComb, the 4-H and FFA members and especially their parents, the 4-H leaders, all the volunteers, judges, and of course those magnificent buyers and contributors for all their hard work and support.  Without you, none of this would be possible. Thank you.

The “magic” of the County Fair awaits you. The schedule is a bit different than last year’s so be sure to note the changes. Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Matt Mitchell

Harding County Fair Board President
