Definition |
There are 13 different
districts with 75 judges presiding. These are courts of general
jurisdiction, like metro and magistrate courts, but without monetary
limits. The District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in some
cases. The District Court has jury trials. |

rights, probates, mental health, appeals for administrative agencies and
lower courts, miscellaneous civil jurisdiction, criminal and misdemeanor
cases. This court has exclusive criminal appeals jurisdiction,
juvenile jurisdiction and domestic relations cases. |

Duties |
The court administration is
responsible for maintaining and administering the budget, financial
records, case management, and supervision of the clerk's offices. The
court administrator is under the supervision of the chief judge. |
