We are trying to archive articles about people in Harding County that have made a difference.  This is very difficult because most of the people in Harding County are hard working, productive people. 

How do we choose who to include?!  These names have been suggested.  We need more information to confirm their link to Harding County.

  • Tommy Rigoni - First man to be drafter in in World War I. 
    Birth: 03 Sep 1895 - Lockport, Will, Illinois
    Marriage: 1929 - Mosquero, New Mexico
    Death: 28 Oct 1971
  • Tommy McDonald - only player from New Mexico in Pro-Football Hall of Fame.  Also, smallest player in Hall of Fame.
  • Bob Keirsey - Invented the Tilting Chute.  Date: 02/01/1955. Patent: 2446769, Tilting chute. 2458582, Cattle restraining device
  • Bob Wills - Barber in Roy, NM and wrote the song "San Antonio Rose" while a resident here in 1927
  • Clint Craft - World's Champion Cutting Horse (Cattle Kate)
  • Henry Cisneros - Founded Latin Music and TV in California and was head of U.S. Department of Housing.  Grandparents lived in Roy.
