LPCC - Pat Bowen, LPCC - Thursdays

Primary Care Provider—Jay Fluhman, FNP—(Every other Thursdays, 8:00-4:00) Adults aft 1:00 pm

Mental Health Provider—Sandra White, MSW—(Tuesdays 8:00-4:00)

Behavioral Health can be accessed at anytime.

Chiropractic Health —Dr. Monty McGowen, —Every Wednesday of Month

Acupuncturist - Dr. Mares -  at El Centro - 3rd Wednesday of the month - call 575-673-2332 for appointment

Services Provided:

• Routine physical exams, including sports physicals

• Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness

• Treatment of minor injuries

• Vision, dental, and blood pressure screenings

• Age-appropriate reproductive health services, including abstinence counseling, education, exams, and referrals

• Immunizations

• Health education, counseling, and wellness promotion

• Nutrition education and weight management

• Prescription medications

• Mental health services

• Classroom presentations

• Referrals for health care services that are not provided at the school-based health center

There is no charge to students of Roy Schools for services provided by the Roy School based Health Center!

Why a School Base Health Center?

provides preventive and primary health and mental health care, health education, and health referrals to students in schools through on-site health centers

offers confidential, accessible, culturally sensitive, and age-appropriate comprehensive health care designed to keep students healthy and ready to learn

• promotes healthy lifestyle choices, and encourages students to take responsibility for their personal health and health care

• education regarding postponing sexual activity

provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and accessible primary health care and mental health care to students in order to ensure readiness to learn and healthy lifestyle choices

• reduce the incidence of the risk behaviors contributing to teen pregnancy

• improve school attendance by providing access to health care services on-site, in the schools.
