During the 1980's the Solano community asked for donations to repair the roof on the church.  We raised enough money to re-roof with asphalt shingles - but now we find that after 20 some years of rain, hail and very damaging winds those shingles were not nearly substantial enough to withstand the New Mexico elements.

It has  now become our goal to raise enough money to install a new roof that will be as permanent as we can possibly get.  The Solano community asked for donations to help repair and preserve this historical landmark that has touched the lives  and hearts of so many people and families that live now or once lived in Harding county and surrounding areas - even other states during the last 'almost 100 years'.
